Letter from the 17th National Convention Chairman
Dear Members of the Birzeiti Community,
On behalf of the Birzeit Society and the Convention Committee, it is my consummate pleasure to warmly invite you to join us for the 17th Birzeit Society National Convention, taking place July 1–5, 2026, in the beautiful city of Tampa, Florida.
Our gathering will be hosted at the elegant Renaissance Tampa International Plaza Hotel, a premier venue located in the heart of the vibrant Tampa Bay region. Known for its warm hospitality, scenic waterfronts, and welcoming atmosphere, Tampa Bay offers an ideal setting for families, friends, and members of all generations to come together. With sunshine, coastal breezes, and the inviting beach weather Florida is known for, the area provides a perfect backdrop for five memorable days of connection, celebration, and community.
The Convention Committee has thoughtfully prepared a program designed to offer something meaningful and enjoyable for everyone. Among the highlights of this year’s gathering are:
- Exciting group excursions to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and Adventure Island, offering thrilling rides and relaxing water attractions for all ages.
- A family adventure aboard the Lost Pearl Pirate Ship, featuring scenic views of Tampa’s beautiful skyline.
- Engaging activities and networking opportunities for our youth and young adults.
- Dedicated children’s programming, ensuring our youngest guests are entertained and inspired.
- Informative community panels and discussions addressing topics important to our shared future.
- A distinguished keynote speaker who will provide insight, inspiration, and reflection.
A centerpiece of the convention experience will be our three elegant banquet evenings, held at the hotel on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. These special gatherings will bring our community together in an atmosphere of high spirit, celebration, and elegant energy. Each evening will feature live musical entertainment, vibrant dancing, and unforgettable moments shared among family and friends, continuing a cherished tradition that celebrates the warmth, culture, and unity of our Birzeiti heritage.

To accommodate our attendees, we have secured a special discounted convention room rate of $139 per night at the Renaissance Tampa International Plaza Hotel.
